A Legend is found and Remade

Dove: It has been days since I have seen any rocks, trees, or any signs of life. All I have seen is mound upon mounds of sand. "she begins to hoof the ground a little out of boredom and decides to press on further into the wastelands." There must be an undiscovered temple; anything anypony might have missed. "groans slightly and begins to take a sip of water from her canteen which she took the liberty of enchanting before she left her homeland of the ice ponies in the northern part of equestria." "Another pony chimes in" You know Dove you don't need to talk like your by yourself out here you know? Dove: Sorry Blue Ice I sort of go off on tangents like that and plus this heat is becoming unbearable so lets hope we stumble upon something soon so we ca go back home and put it into the ice pony museum. "As Dove is trotting along one of her hooves seem to hit a rock but it seemed flat and smoothed over like it was ponymade." Dove: Hmmmm what's this? "Keeps tapping it with her hoof and then all of a sudden Dove and Ice fall through a cavernous opening as the stone crumbles away." Dove: Wow I landed on something pretty comfortable. "looks down and sees that she landed on Ice and gently gets off and dusts him off" Sorry about that Ice...... "She begins looking around the huge room that seems to be decorated with wall paintings that show a dragon circling high above equestria. The next scene on the wall depicts an apocalyptic event of a giant meteorite crashing into equestria and ending all life. The next picture on the wall is all black except for what seems to be a shooting star." "Dove begins to run her hoof over the last picture and she touches the star and there is a shuddering noise just to her left and a door opens to a smaller room with a book in the middle." Dove: Ice I think we found something! "She trots into the room and looks at the book and it's title is A Legend, A Myth or is he Real? It depicts the same dragon that was on the wall. "Dove leafs through the book looking at all these events that just seemed like to have no explanation. Such as why the wastelands became so barren because apparently this dragon drew upon all life in this region to protect equestria from a great enemy" Ice: Hey Dove I think I found a way out! Dove: Yes yes one second this book shows when this next.... "she begins to shudder and shake as she sees the day and Ice seeing this rushes to see whats wrong" Ice: Whats a matter???? "she shows him the the book and it says when this event happens. Dove's face pales as the date says that this meteor is supposed to happen this afternoon.... She grabs Ice and teleports themselves outside the temple and time seemed to have flown by as the sky has seemed to turn a very unusual shade of red and Dove looks up to see to her dismay a giant flaming meteorite the size of manehatten." Dove: Sweet Celestia "She begins to cry in fear and anger on not being able to do anything to stop it." "Dove looks back up to the sky again to see a small streak of light careen across the sky as it seems to strike the meteorite dead center. Large chunks begin to fly off the meteorite however and whatever is doing the damage to it wasn't able to destroy the bulk of it and then the light shows brighter than ever before crashes into the meteorite causing it to create a great white flash that ripples across the sky.” Dove: Mother of me what in the name of equestria was that...”she pauses because a streak across the sky is heading right towards them and with a sudden whoosh! It crashes just a mile north of her and Ice's location and she grabs ice once more and teleports to the massive crater created by the impact. She stares in awe at what she sees because inside the crater was a giant blue dragon and then she makes the connection. Dove looks at the book cover and back at the dragon who seems to be unconscious in the crater and then the dragon stirs a little bit completely oblivious of the two ponies gawking in complete awe. Dove: Ummmm Mr. Dragon are you alright? “The dragon turns around and looks around and then looks down. He looks at the ponies a little intently and seems to be thinking for a long moment. Dove shows him the book and the dragon looks more closely at her and the dragon thinks a little more and finaly speaks in a really calm tone” That's quite the book you have there miss must have been written long ago by a pony who managed to get a glimpse of me but my guess is that it was written off as an urban legend....and so I would like to keep it that way and chances are it will stay that way. “The dragon turns around and begins walking away and Dove and Ice go chasing after him.” Dove: Who are you.. what is your name.... were you the one shown in this book.... the one that was written in as a legendary creature? Dragon: Well for a little pony like yourself and your friend there you both sure have come a long way from the land of the ice ponies … I guess I can answer your questions. For one my name is Galaxy, what I am is the protector of this planet and outer space, yes I am the one shown in the book and ponies who do know about me as a legend because of stories passed down through generation to generation. Dove: May I ask how old are you? Galaxy: I am 5687 years old miss still feel just as young though. Dove: Ummmm where are you going ? Galaxy: Prepping for teleportation why? Dove: But but but but why can't you stay? Galaxy: Well if ponies knew I actually exsisted I would be put right into canterlot with all the other royal figures. Quite honestly I feel like equestria isn't ready for me and I'm willing to bet there will be some other ponies appearing here soon to investigate the crater. “Galaxy looks back at the alicorn and her friend” You really want me to stay don't you.... ? Dove: I do there is so much I want to learn from you. This book only shows pictures however looking at you now just makes me think that you would like here in equestria. Galaxy: So blue ice do you have any reason for me to stay here in equestria? Blue Ice: A lot of ponies would really look up to you if you stay in equestria and I'm sure Princess Celestia and Princess Luna would love to see you.. “A Guard from Canterlot appears” Guard: What in the name of eques “ looks up and sees the dragon” your your your “stammers and faints” and then a giant scorpion grabs the fainted guardpony and starts moving it towards it's mouth. “Dove has never seen anything move so fast as a stream of light hits the scorpion square center of the forehead and Galaxy roars as he knocks the scorpion aside with a giant swipe of his tail just to make sure it was dead. Galaxy proceeds to wake the guardpony up” Galaxy: What was your message....Guardpony: Their majesties would like to meet you and they want to know if you truly exsist and if if your willing to stay in equestria they are willing to help get you situated anywhere you like? Dove “ Her mouth just drops on how quick the dragon reacted to the scorpion and shook herself out of it” So your going to stay...? Galaxy: I don't see why not I think I'm growing to like it here. Guardpony: They also have a mission for you and five others of your choosing you may leave when you please Lord Galaxy. Galaxy: Please I don't like the formalities and I will get there as soon as I can. Now who wants a ride to Canterlot?

AND SO THE STORY BEGINS

Chapter one

EQUESTRIA LEARNS OF HIS EXSISTANCE

Galaxy: Now watch the wings as you climb on... “The three ponies gingerly climb on the back of the giant dragon” Now I believe how the guardpony got here was by a series of teleportation jumps and not one big one from canterlot otherwise he would've passed out as soon as he got here am I correct? Guardpony: Well I ummm yah that's exactly how I did it but it seems like your proposing something....”pales” don't tell me your going to make the jump all at once that could put us all at risk..... Galaxy: your a very clever pony sir guard however as the other two might know I'm not your normal dragon. How about you three just trust in me that I can make the jump safely. Now it will feel just like a light breeze.....”everything goes dark for a moment and then they all appeared in canterlot.” You were saying sir guard... Guardpony: wah tha no can't be no ….... “sits looking confused” Galaxy: Now where's that... palace “as the dragon looks around a lot of ponies just stop and stare at him” Oh my is it not normal for a dragon to be here.... “ The ponies begin to point and wonder at the giant dragon and then all of a sudden a small batpony come tumbling through the crowd and hits one of the dragon's giant legs and her nose begins to bleed really badly and medical ponies come forward but before they could there's a small flash and the pony sniffles and yet there is no blood.” Galaxy: What's your name miss? Twizzle: my ma ma my name is Twizzle sir. How di did you manage fixing my muzzle? Galaxy: When one is going up against meteorites it really helps to learn and master healing magic? Dove: You should have seen him fight the giant scorpion in the wastelands! Oh my gosh he was so amazing you should have seen him and don't get me started on the giant meteor he stopped a little while ago.. “takes a deep breath and she sees the dragon give her a sly look and she shrugs nonchalantly” “Galaxy begins to get nervous because he has never been admired, praised or event felt the feeling of personal care. He begins backing up looking really scared all of a sudden and then the two princesses step forward” Celestia : Lord Galaxy please calm down you have never seen ponies before although I see you have made friends with some already. “She looks at everypony else” Please give Mr.Galaxy some space he needs time to adjust to his surroundings for this is the first time he has ever been seen in equestria. I'm sure this is making him very uncomfortable. “The other Princess steps forward” Luna: It is a great honor to meet you Lord Galaxy there is so much we can learn from you but my guess is you wish to find a place you can settle down? Galaxy: I would love that but I guess I can answer some questions from everypony who wants to it will help me get acclimated with well everypony? “The two princesses look at each other and nod for all the ponies to line up in front of the dragon so they could ask him some questions. The dragon looks at dove and her friend blue ice..” Is it ok if I call you my friends? “The two ponies are taken aback by such a question but both nod with the utmost eagerness and this makes the dragon smile as he looks back at the eager line of ponies. A stallion with a black coat and sort of a silver mane steps forward” Hello sir my name is Nova Wish and well I ummm heard about how you survived that scorpion attack.... I'm a survival expert and also lead a small group of ponies that call themselves the freelancers and well is it possible for you to help the freelancers to make the everfree more safe for everypony that lives in it or near it? “The dragon contemplates the question” Galaxy: Would you like to demonstrate on what magic you know? “And without warning Nova launches a shadow that seems like it was aimed to hurt the dragon as everypony gasps but before anypony could react the dragon's eyes flashed and a small wall of light erupts from the sky and pushes back against the darkness utterly stopping the spell in it's place” Nova: tha … tha ...that was my best spell how could you possibly stop it with such ease... Galaxy: Shadow magic my dear pony has to be a manipulative form of magic it was never really meant to go on the offensive. Nova: Can I travel with you so I can learn more about my kind of magic? Galaxy: Of course you can I'm always happy to help a pony who loves to help others. “The dragon continues answering many more questions until there was nopony left and Princess Celestia trots forward “ Celestia: Lord Galaxy I know it seems really soon to ask for favors but well if you well don't mind could you and your group of friends are needed to free ponies held captive up in the mountaanious region of equestria? Galaxy: I can speak for myself but not for the others and I will gladly be willing to help anypony in need.. Dove: If he's in so am I! Blue Ice: An adventure with the possibility of danger heck what are we waiting for I'm in! “Twizzle the batpony is still behind the dragon's leg and she perks up” Twizzle: I want to help I can be helpful please let me help! “the dragon nods to her and Twizzle jumps up in joy” Twizzle: I can bring the candy! Nova: Who am I to turn down a challenge! Let's get this party going! Galaxy: Well princess it seems were all going and as to answer Luna's question I would love to live in that giant mansion just near that town called ponyville if you don't mind? Luna: That is a fine choice Lord Galaxy would you like help moving in? Galaxy: I think my friends and I can handle it. We will get started on this mission tomorrow but for now I'm willing to bet were all hungry and don't worry I eat gems and other pony food so you don't have to worry about that. “Galaxy's ears snap up at a faint sound and then with speed beyond comprehension his tail whiplashes a little dart out of the sky and it thuds into a tree with a small message on it and galaxy proceeds to read it.” “We don't know who will the princesses will send but this dart is just a warning. If you enter those mountains none of you will return.....” Galaxy: Well aparently they know your sending a group although that dart was a teleport dart so whomever sent it could be a fair distance away. Would you princesses mind if we stay by the castle? “They both nod” Luna: There will be increased security around you at all times during the night and the guards will accompany you all the way the beginning of the mountains. Galaxy: Thanks Princess Luna.. “Galaxy goes over to a clearing and lays his gigantinc body down and to his surprise his group of friends snuggle up to his belly and he covers them with his giant wing providing them a nice makeshift shelter. He has a warm glowing feeling in his big heart... a sense of duty and protection. Not that he didn't have it before but it feels like those words mean more to him when it involves these brave stallions and mares” “Thinks” Galaxy: Friendship is truly magic after all “The dragon smiles to himself and falls asleep awaiting the next day's big adventure.”
