The gosling who couldn't speak

Once upon a time there lived a mother goose named Susy and father goose, Jake. They were living happily in a nest beside a creek. The father duck happened to be engaged. The mother duck was so worried about her husband. One day Susy saw Jake working his head off and she said "Jake come and sit down and have this lemonade. Susy was really full of beans. She said this again "Jake come on and have some lemonade." Jake didn't leave work. Then Susy went towards Jake and took him by the wing and then Jake looked at Susy and said "I think you are right Susy." Then Jake stood up from his chair and went to a rock. Suddenly Susy felt a twitch in his stomach and then went to sit in her nest. Jake looked at Susy and said "Susy, what's the matter?" Susy looked right in the eye and said "In few weeks time we are going to have three ducklings." Jake was so surprised that he almost flew. Jake had no time to say how much he was glad. Then he flew all around in the sky saying really loudly "I am going to be a father." He said this really loudly that everyone else could hear. Then the animals were muttering all around about Jake. Susy couldn't do any work. A few days passed as Susy was getting really sick. Jake was afraid that Susy would lose the ducklings. But the time came as Susy laid three eggs. Jake looked at the eggs and then Susy and said "How sweet they look! Thanks Susy." But Susy said in a weak voice "Say hello for the kids for me." Then Jake checked Susy's pulse and cried out "Oh no. Now the children have no mother." He cried loudly. While that was going on a crow was flying pass and that crow landed on the branch an said "Oh, Jake my lad why are you so scared and why are you crying?" Jake answered "My wife, Susy has passed away." Then that crow said "such a poor goose. I came to drop by because rumors have been going around that you are going to be a father. Congratulations!" Jake said "Yes I know know that it won't be the same without her to take care of the children." the crow offered "Look, I would be delighted to watch after the gosling."
