It is 1939 and you are a Jewish teenager who lives in Warsaw, Poland with your Mom, Dad, younger brother and sister. On the radio for the
past several months, you have heard news that Germany, led by some guy named Adolf
Hitler, was looking to invade Poland with the help of the Russian Army. Today is the day that nightmare has become a reality. Rumor has it the German army is rolling deep into Poland capturing town after town. To make matters worse, it seems that along the way the German army is removing all Jewish people in each city from their homes and putting them in apartment complexes around the cities. Your dad has decided your family has two different options:

One
option is to stay in Warsaw and hide in the attic of a family friend. The attic is above a business and you will
have to be quiet during work hours.

Another option is
your family tries to flee to neighboring France. There are only a few routes out of Warsaw and
with the German army closing in; it could be difficult to make it. If you decide to run, your family is going to
have to split up so they can hide in the trunk of a few different cars. It is possible your family could never see
each other again if some make it and some get caught.
