Story 3: Radicalism

Hudson Sakai and Henry Payne

Hannah and Felix.
Those were their names. My wife and son.
All they did was express their opinion. They were talking loudly about how they didn't approve of Nazism. Then that man--that thing-- had them killed for treason.
I was angry, I was blinded by rage, and I made a bad decision. I had never even shot a gun before. He was giving a speech, and I paid my way onto the guest list.
All I did was take a shot. One. Shot. And just like that, just from that one bad decision, my life was over and I was on the run.
But living on the run wasn't living. I wasn't living. Death is better than that half-life. The moment that I realized that, a little plan started to form in my mind: I would assassinate Hitler, properly this time.
And so I looked around. And with enough looking, I found what I was looking for: the Kreisau Circle. They were an underground anti-Nazi organization, and they wanted what I wanted. They wanted to assassinate Hitler.
I decided to support the group from the sidelines, spreading the word, getting donations.
I volunteered to be an active member, planning, and helping with plots.
