Turkic Mythology
By Luke and Carl
As the harsh wind blows across the desert tundra, you saddle up your only horse, preparing for an upcoming journey. You are a 17 year old living in the times of nomadic Turkey. You have no family, and you have had to care for yourself for as long as you can remember. Now you must make the long trip across the dangerous temperate deserts to a small village where you need to gather supplies. You have never been a big believer in the Turkic Gods, but you say a quick prayer before embarking on your journey. About half a day into the trip, you reach a rocky section of desert. Wanting to save time, you go over the rocks instead of going miles to the side to try to find a way around it. Suddenly, during a particularly rocky area, your horse stumbles and falls to the ground screaming, leg broken. All of your supplies tumbles to the ground.
