The Crash
Stone
Jackie and I were taking a drive through the country when he started to text while driving. It was winter, and snow covered the road. The roads were slick and she had not been driving for a full year yet.I looked at Jackie from the passenger’s seat and demanded, “Jackie, stop texting.” “You are going to crash.”
Jackie replied, “I’m not gonna crash. I’m a good driver.”I then told her, “Ok but if you crash don’t blame me”“I won’t because I’m not gonna crash.” “Ok I believe you we won’t crash and besides you can get pulled over or get a fine for texting.” “We won’t get in a crash or get pulled over we are only one mile away from home.”“LOOK OUT!” I yelled as Jackie’s cell phone came flying at me.“O NO!!!”
“We crashed!” I looked outside the window and saw a deer run by and stop in the middle of the road looking at us then it took off. “OWWW! I think I broke my arm.”
“We better call 911,” I said while dialing. “I think I hear cop cars coming.”“I think I see the cops coming,” I said weakfully. The police officer was standing at the window, He looked like he was upside down. “You guys okay?”
“I think my arm is broken!” I yelled painfully, holding my arm above my head to relieve some pain. Just then it started to snow. The police officer said, “we will get you guys out of the car as fast as we can!”The police officer said, “the fire trucks will be here in 1 minute.”
“Ok!” Then 10 minutes have past and they were working on getting us out of the car.The fire department had to get out those big jaw like things to get the window open softley could get us out. The firemen said, “WE ALMOST HAVE YOU OUT!”“Yes!” “We are finally out of the car,”said Jackie.
“It’s good that nobody got seriously hurt” said Melody.Jackie replied, “But you broke your arm.” Melody replied back, “It’s better than dying though.”“Yeah I think we might have got lucky,” said Jackie.“You think,” replied Melody.
“Do you think our car is junk?” I ask her pointing at the car. The bumper was demolished and it hung from the car like an apple from a tree.“Yeah it looks like it is now.”
While we are at the hospital the cops are getting our car out. “Wait, how are we going to explain this to mom and dad?”“We will just tell them that I was texting and driving,” said Jackie.“Ok I guess we can tell them that,” said Melody. But we still might get yelled at.
“We more than likely will get yelled at.”Don’t text and drive or consequences will be bad! There is a law that you can’t text and drive. If you text and drive you can go to jail
