Aboard the Coeur-de-Lion

Meg Jayanth

The Coeur-de-Lion has only a handful of passengers: two Englishmen heading to Durban to take up administrative positions, a Congolese freedman looking for work as a clerk, and a Portuguese lady with an extravagant collection of baggage. You have seen no crew apart from Monsieur Lapointe, and a few surly waiters.
Monsieur Fogg is ensconced in his room, making complex calculations in his ledger - you are at your leisure.
