Living the Life of a Syrian Refugee

Introduction: Your Life in Syria.
Your name is Abdel Malik and you are a businessman living in Syria. You run a small store, and live at home with your elderly mother, your caring wife, and your 11 kids. While you have a modest life, you enjoy every moment of it.
However, all of that falls apart in early 2011, when the Arab Spring Protest begin to occur. What started as large demonstrations soon turn into violence and an all out Civil War in Syria by the end of 2011. While your village has been spared by militant groups so far, you begin to get worried for the well being of your family.
So, you decide there are 2 things you can do:
Option 1) Take your whole family, along with your elderly mother, and move to Lebanon right away.
Option 2) First send your eldest son to Lebanon alone to find a place for your family to stay, and then follow soon after.
You know that it will be very hard to bring your entire family with you, but it is also dangerous to send your son alone. What do you do?
