The Dead Walking

You wake up on the floor in your bedroom. You try to get up, but you are groggy and feeling drunk. You try to recall the events of the nights before, but cannot seem to remember anything. You manage to stand up and walk into the kitchen, complaining about the headache that emanated from your skull. You go to get a cup of coffee only to find out the machine won't turn on. Instead, you opt for a bottle of water; you slump down onto the couch in the living room of your messy apartment. You try to turn the television on but nothing happens. "The power must be out," you say to yourself. Taking a glance at your watch, you notice it is 8:30 AM, "I'm an hour late to work!" you yell. Quickly, you put on clean clothes, grab your bag, and leave to go to work.
